Macondo Tours Malmö office OPENING!! (29.05.2008) The 30th of May will be the opening of the Macondo Tours office in Malmö city (Sweden). In a private party where some promotional videos and a special presentation will be shown for the office manager Joel Castillo about the diverse destinations and experiences shared for many of our happy and satisfied clients during their trip in Venezuela. The party will take place at the premises of the office at Stora Trädgårdsgatan 3D, Malmö at 6pm.
Macondo Tours Hotel (29.05.2008) The first hotel property of Macondo Tours C.A is actually been built in Choroni. The architectural plans promise to be a comfortable and dynamic hotel. It will include 23 rooms plus 2 apartments, swimming pool, games room, library, craft shop, travel agency office and many other facilities to make our clients enjoy their stay in Choroni. The dead line to its conclusion has been estimated for 2008-2009.
Airport Taxes (10.10.2007) Airport Taxes cost is still in (Bs 37.632,00; Bs F 3.763), but the Airport charges change from one airport to another. If you are travelling from Maiquetia airport you should pay 2,5 tax-unit equivalent to Bs 94.080,00 (Bs F 9.408). In case you are flying from International airport La Chinita you must pay 2,3 tax-unit equivalent to Bs 87.754,00 (Bs F 8.775).
Venezuelan new bills (24.10.2007) We now have confirmation that the PDF marked “Información Confidencial” reported ten days ago is authentic. Today the Banco Central de Venezuela has officially unveiled its new family of notes. The only thing that remains to be explained is why there is no 200-bolivar fuerte note as previously reported.
All notes will be released on January 1, 2008, and are dated 20 DE MARZO DE 2007 on front, along with signatures (PRESIDENTE BCV and PRIMER VICEPRESIDENTE BCV). Security features for each note includes intaglio printing with the denomination in OVI, watermark of portrait and electrotype watermark of denomination numerals, wide windowed security thread, registration device, microprinting, raised symbol for the blind, and latent image. Ministry of Turism (25.10.2007) Venezuela has received half million tourists, according to the numbers offered by the Ministry of Tourism, from January to September of this year. 38.60% came from South America and 25.83% from North America. According to the information offered from the recreational office, most of the foreign tourists they came from Colombia (26%) and the United States (22%).
